Who is responsible for your data

Antoine Volatier, an individual operating under the trade name Ocean Puerto Real Estate ("Ocean Puerto"), with offices at Paseo Esmeralda, Avenida Hidalgo 102, between Av. Oaxaca and 1ra Poniente, Col. Centro, C.P. 71980, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data you give us through this website, by WhatsApp, by e-mail or in person. This notice follows Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP, 2025).

What data we collect

Identification and contact data: name, e-mail, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred language and country.

What you tell us about your search or your property: budget, areas, property of interest, timing, and the messages you send us.

Browsing data: the page from which you write to us and your approximate country (deduced from your connection) to show prices in your currency. We do not collect sensitive data.

Why we use it

Primary purposes, needed to serve you: answering your requests, sending you the brochures and documents you ask for, arranging visits in person or by video, preparing offers and accompanying a purchase or sale, and keeping a record of our exchanges in our client file (CRM).

Secondary purposes: sending you our market newsletter, new properties and pre-sales that match your search, and other commercial communications from Ocean Puerto. When you send a form on this site, you agree to these communications; visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom only receive them if they tick the box provided for this purpose.

How to refuse the newsletter and commercial communications

You can refuse or withdraw your consent to the secondary purposes at any time, without affecting the primary ones: use the unsubscribe link in any e-mail, or write to contact@oceanpuerto.com with the subject "No commercial communications". We process the request within 5 business days.

Who we share it with

Service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions (client management, e-mail, newsletter, website hosting and messaging). Some of them store data outside Mexico, under confidentiality and security obligations.

When you take part in a transaction, and only for it: the notary, lawyers, the bank handling the trust (fideicomiso) and, for pre-sales, the developer. We never sell your data.

Your rights (ARCO)

You can access, rectify or cancel your data, or object to its processing, and revoke your consent, by writing to contact@oceanpuerto.com. Include your name, the right you want to exercise and a copy of an ID. We reply within 20 business days. If you consider your rights have not been respected, you can contact the Mexican data protection authority.

Cookies and browser storage

This site stores your currency, language and saved properties in your own browser, and a cookie with your country (30 days) to show prices in your currency. It does not use advertising cookies.

We may update this notice. The current version is always published on this page, with its date.
